The depletion of natural resources and harmful emissions into the soil, atmosphere, and water bodies has a detrimental effect on the flora and fauna of the Earth. The Special Conservation Cooperation Fund for the Conservation of Ecosystems (CEPF) is committed to preserving and restoring the ecology in those regions of the planet that need it. Another function of the CEPF is to create the development of technical projects and their further funding to provide urgent environmental assistance to a number of regions.
This Fund monitors the state of more than 34 ecosystem regions that are in critical condition today. The organization actively cooperates with such well-known companies as the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the World Bank, the John D., and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. CEPF provides special support to developing countries in Africa and Asia. Among other things, the organization retains local environmental groups to coordinate efforts to protect nature.
